unholy vitamin c and eye cream
mummy don't know daddy's getting hot at the body shop, getting vitamin c and eye cream
PRODUCT EXPERIMENTS
Quarantining for 8 days, what a perfect chance for goodie reviews - for me to share some of my new product experiments? After listening to the new bop, now plaguing Tik Tok and every social media platform there is in this universe. Guanie has decided to share her thoughts on some "Unholy" Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother and Drops of Light Brightening Eye Cream, not from daddy's infamous "body shop", but from the beauty brand - The Body Shop.
Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother 30 ml valued $37 aud
Guanie has been using this product for nearly two years now!
Yes, I have been a loyal consumer of this product for quite a long period of time. Why, what miracles that it work. I don't know what daddy does in that body shop but this Body Shop did not lie. This product will miraculously make your face feel like a baby's bottom in the best possible way - smooth and plump with instant radiance. The brand encourages for the product to be used after applying moisturiser. Nonetheless, because the product is quite light on the skin, I personally like using the Vitamin C Booster before applying a heavier, thicker moisturiser.
The presentation of the product and the design of the product is also very Guanie approved. Is it just me or is it a pain in the butt when you are near the end of a jar of moisturiser and you need to vest all your energy in your fingers just to scoop out the last remnants of product. Well, great news for you people out there. There is no need for scooping ! This product has a pump. All you need to do is press the pump and you'll get a decent amount of ready-to-apply product. Just a kind reminder to apply sunscreen after using this product. From personal experience, you will be more inclined to get sun burnt.
Drops of Light Brightening Eye Cream 15 ml valued $39 aud
Guanie has more recently discovered this eye cream.
Guanie is not as obsessed with the eye cream as with the Vitamin C Boost. Nonetheless, Guanie, enjoying the product very much, approves! Just like its name, the eye cream is feather light on the thin and sensitive skin under and around your eyes, so smooth and easily appliable. Its soothing and has an effective brightening effect. Especially compared to another eye cream that guanie has tried which is also by The Body Shop, but from another range - The Aloe Soothing Eye & Lip Contour Care (priced $27 for 15ml). I have noticed that the Drops of Light Eye Cream has achieved better, quicker results on my skin. Under my observations, the Drops of Light Eye Cream has soothed the dark bags under my eyes, which the brand claims is owed to its use of red algae extract harvested from the North Atlantic and vitamin C.
The only place where the eye cream falls short, especially in sight of the Vitamin C Boost, is its packaging. The applicator is nicely designed. The cool touch of the applicator on skin is refreshing. When you squeeze the tube, product comes out and onto the applicator, ready to massage and apply under the eyes. Guanie appreciates how there is no need for her to dig up product using her fingers! However, the product, a tube, is thin and long. Have you ever found it impossible to squeeze out toothpaste when its all used up at the front because the last bit of product is stubbornly sticking to the end of the tube? This morning, I had the hardest time squeezing out the last few drops of eye cream from the thin long tube. This is gotten Guanie so worked up that she eventually gave up, cut the end of the tube to get the product out. This process was annoyingly difficult and a tad frustrating.
Yes, Guanie is always determined to use up all the product she tries because she does not like being a waster.
Overall, both the Vitamin C Boost Instant Smoother ($37/30ml) and the Drops of Light Brightening Eye Cream ($39/15ml) has earned the Guanie approval badge.
Guanie is so passionate about sharing what products she enjoys and her good buys. Guanie wants to help her readers to find and experience the best products using the least cost and avoid bad products. She also wants to help brands and producers by giving them feedback and insight as to how they can improve on their products. Yet, especially with skincare, Guanie recognises that everybody is unique and hence have different skin conditions.
Guanie's skin type is commination. A bit oily during the summer and a tad dry during winter. Both have been effective and wonderful in relation to improving the condition of my skin. The effect of the products will vary depending on your skin type.
Nevertheless, Guanie really recommends giving these two products a try.
